1756 Removable Terminal Blocks Removable terminal blocks (RTBs) provide a flexible interconnection between your plant wiring and  1756 I/O modules. The RTB plugs into the front of the I/O module. The type of module determines the  RTB you need. You can choose screw-clamp or spring-clamp RTBs. RTBs are not shipped with I/O modules. You must order them separately. The standard housing on the  front of the wiring arm is not necessarily deep enough for 2.5 mm2  (14 AWG) wiring. If you plan to use  2.5 mm2  (14 AWG) wiring, also order the extended housing. The Allen-Bradley 1756-A10 is a ten-slot ControlLogix chassis. It belongs to the Standard Chassis class (which is separate from the Extreme Temperature class). The 1756-A10 is designed for horizontal mounting only. Any ControlLogix module can be installed in any slot. The chassis backplane enables high-speed connectivity between the modules. The maximum per-slot backplane current for the 1756-A10 is 1.5 Amps/- at 1.2 Volts DC, 4 Amps/4 Amps at 3.3 Volts DC, 15 Amps/6 Amps at 5.1 Volts DC and 2.8 Amps/2.8 Amps at 24 Volts DC. The power dissipation is 6.1 BTU/hour and the power consumption is 1.8 Watts.

When used with a standard power supply, the chassis should be installed with the following spacing guidelines: a 6-inch space towards the top of the chassis, a 4-inch space on both the left and right sides of the chassis, and an 8-inch space on the bottom of the chassis. For functional and protective earth connections, the recommended cable sizes for solid or stranded copper wire are 8 AWG and 14 AWG, respectively. The storage temperature for the 1756-A10 is from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius and the operating temperature is from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity range is from 5 to 95%. The vibration rating is 2G at 10 to 500 Hertz. The operating and non-operating shock ratings are 30G and 50G, respectively. The dimensions of the 1756-A10 are 170.94 x 400.3 x 145.03 millimeters. The required cabinet size is 507 x 762 x 203 millimeters. The weight of the chassis is approximately 3.2 pounds
