Product Description
ifm DL0201 Level monitoring relay, Signal evaluation systems. The evaluation unit for level control monitors levels in tanks and vessels to prevent overflow, running dry or leakage. The device receives signals from an external sensor and switches its outputs according to the adjustable input and output delays. The range includes units for the connection of one or two sensors. For level control with one sensor, the upper limit level of a tank is monitored with a capacitive sensor. When the level has been reached, the sensor provides a signal to the evaluation unit. It closes the supply valve for the time set to prevent overfilling. Level control with two sensors is a typical two-point control. To protect a pump against running dry two capacitive sensors are installed on the tank. When the lower level has been reached, the sensor provides a signal to the evaluation unit. With the relay output it switches off the pump that is normally used to empty the tank. When the upper level has been reached, the second sensor installed there switches. The relay in the evaluation unit switches on again and the pump is started.
